The Nevada Mayflower Society’s 70th Annual Compact Meeting & NNC Watch Party
Featuring Guest Speaker Noted Mayflower Historian Caleb Johnson, Via Zoom from Las Vegas
The Northern Nevada Colony (NNC) is hosting a Compact Day Luncheon & Watch Party for the Society’s 70th Annual Compact Day Luncheon, which will be held in Las Vegas this year. We hope our members here in Northern Nevada who don’t plan to travel to Las Vegas will join us and enjoy a festive Thanksgiving-style luncheon, featuring a full Thanksgiving Lunch Buffet: Turkey with the fixings, pumpkin pie, coffee, tea, water, sparkling cider, and of course, and a full cash bar, all for just $40 per person.
Our venue is the Empire Ranch Golf Course in Carson City, with beautiful views of the mountains, excellent food & drink, and plenty of free parking.
Caleb Johnson, the author and historian behind MayflowerHistory.com, graduated from Texas Tech University with two majors (history and English) and two minors (computer science and archaeology). He subsequently earned an MBA with an emphasis in IT Management..
Mr. Johnson has been researching and studying the Mayflower passengers since 1992, and has authored and edited a number of books and articles about the Mayflower voyage and the Plymouth Colony, including his 1173-page reference tome, The Complete Works of the Mayflower Pilgrims; The Mayflower and Her Passengers.
In November 2020, Mr. Johnson was elected as a Fellow of the American Society of Genealogists and is on the forefront of genealogical research as it pertains to the English origins of the Mayflower passengers.
