How to Join the Nevada Mayflower Society
Becoming a member is a journey of discovery. Whether you are just beginning your genealogical journey or have already traced your roots, we’re here to support you through each stage of the process!
Step 1
Research
Start by researching your family ancestry. Use genealogical tools and primary source documents to trace for your lineage back to a Mayflower descendent.
Step 2
Verify
Have a list of ancestors but not sure if they trace back to the Mayflower? Submit your current findings, and our team will check to see if your line has already been proven by another member, potentially saving you months of work!
Step 3
Connect With Historian
Once you’re ready, contact the Nevada State Historian who will act as your guide to review your application packet and help you navigate the final submission to the General Society.
Associate Membership
Not ready to commit to the full lineage membership or looking to support our mission?
Friends and family are invited to join as Associated Members. This membership grants you all the privileges of being a society member with the exception of voting or holding office.

The “Silver Books”
The gold standard for Mayflower research. This is a multi-volume series documenting the first five (and more) generations of Mayflower descendents and serves as the primary reference for verifying lineages.
Mayflower Lineage Match (MLM)
A pre-screening tool that compares your proposed lineage against thousands of previous approved applications. Use this to see if your line has already been proven, saving you significant time and research effort.
Genealogy Webinars
A series of short, educational videos designed to guide you through the application process. Learn practical research skills, such as how to properly document vital records, census data, and cemetery records.
Patriots to Passengers Project
An initiative to help connect your Revolutionary War ancestors to your Mayflower heritage. It’s a valuable resource for identifying Revolutionary War Patriots who have already been verified as Mayflower descendents, making it easier to submit supplemental applications.
